Changemakers 2017 Staff
Join Nebraska Children at the Embassy Suites in La Vista. This year’s keynote will be presented by Wes Moore, a best-selling author, decorated Army combat veteran, youth advocate, and CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation. He’s also the founder of BridgeEDU, which provides support to students as they navigate to higher education. Wes will share the story from his best-selling book, The Other Wes Moore, about how educational opportunities, community support, and other factors helped Wes transcend the fate of a man with the same name who lived just blocks away and took a tragically different path to prison.
The Changemakers luncheon will also feature recognition of a few Nebraskans who have made a tremendous impact as advocates for children.
