Summer Send-off Care Package Drive

Each year, Nebraska Children works to pull together care packages for young people who are in foster care or who have just aged out. Many of these teenagers have no family to share the holidays with, nowhere to go for a warm and welcoming turkey dinner, and no expectation of any gifts. Across the state our Project Everlast Youth Councils and Friends of Nebraska Children groups work with companies and individuals to collect gifts – both necessitates and fun things – that will make life a little easier and the holidays a little more joyful for these kids.

The Omaha Holiday Care Package Drive take place in both August and December and are organized by the Friends of Nebraska Children. If you are an Omaha-area company or organization who would like to contribute to this effort - either through a monetary donation or by organizing a gift drive at your company - please contact Kristin Lundgren.
